Senior Associate – Audit & Assurance

About the role

Grant Thornton Australia is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Audit & Assurance team. You will work on statutory audits for a diverse portfolio of public listed, private and not‑for‑profit entities, using the firm’s proprietary methodology and modern technology.

Key responsibilities

• Drive independent statutory audits for public listed, unlisted, proprietary, not‑for‑profit and government entities.
• Create complete and accurate audit work papers and identify client financial risks.
• Analyse financial statements to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Investigate complex technical and application issues to improve client outcomes.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, contributing to their professional growth.

Required profile

• Experience in an Audit & Assurance environment with solid knowledge of IFRS.
• Full CA/CPA qualification or equivalent overseas qualification.
• Strong client relationship, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
