Senior Architect - Delivery Experience

About the role

An established, highly regarded design practice with a diverse portfolio across major project sectors is looking for an experienced Senior Architect / Contract Administrator. The studio has a collaborative, design-focused culture and wants someone with strong local knowledge and proven experience in project delivery and contract administration. The role offers ownership of complex projects within a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead contract administration and project delivery across a range of architectural projects
• Act as Superintendent, managing contracts, project programming, reporting and construction administration
• Coordinate consultants and contractors so projects stay on track and to a high standard
• Manage D&C projects and procurement, resolving construction issues while protecting design intent
• Oversee documentation, specifications, detailing, scheduling and compliance during construction

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years' architectural experience with strong Australian and local project experience
• Proven experience in contract administration and acting as Superintendent on complex projects
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods and D&C project delivery
• Experience managing consultants, project programmes, specifications, construction documentation and client relationships
• Thorough knowledge of local construction systems, building codes, standards and regulations
