About the role
You will join a mobile engineering squad at one of Australia’s largest banks to build a resilient, offline‑first iOS banking app. The role starts with a short onsite period in Melbourne before moving to a hybrid work model.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement an offline‑first architecture using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Develop SQLite caching layers and generate networking/database code from gRPC definitions.
- Ensure the app remains functional during backend outages, handling network latency and background data sync.
Required profile
- 5+ years of native iOS development with deep expertise in Swift and SwiftUI.
- Proven experience building offline‑first mobile applications with SQLite.
- Willingness to work onsite in Melbourne for the initial 2‑4 weeks.

- SQLite
- gRPC, Protocol Buffers, automated code generation
- Reactive architectures (MVVM, Redux, TCA)
- iOS security fundamentals (Keychain, certificate pinning, OAuth2)
- Kotlin and Jetpack Compose (nice to have)
