Senior Android Engineer – 12 Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join an established mobile engineering team on a large‑scale consumer platform. This 12‑month contract role is hybrid, with three days per week onsite at Melbourne CBD.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full development lifecycle – from technical design and implementation to testing, release and production support.
• Collaborate with a strong mobile team, contributing ideas to evolve the platform architecture and improve modularity.

Required profile

• Extensive commercial Android development experience, preferably on large‑scale consumer or enterprise applications.
• Proficiency with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow and modern architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI or Clean Architecture.
• Solid understanding of modular architecture, dependency management, REST API integration, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in automated testing, production troubleshooting and strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
