Senior Analyst – Indirect Tax

About the role

ALDI Australia is seeking a Senior Analyst to lead its Indirect Tax function within the National Finance and Administration team. Based in Minchinbury, this full‑time permanent position offers the chance to shape tax compliance, governance and risk management for a leading retailer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead compliance for GST, FBT, land tax and related levies.
• Provide expert tax advice to business stakeholders and resolve complex tax issues.
• Maintain and improve tax governance, policies, processes and controls.
• Prepare tax position papers, rulings and internal memos to support decision‑making.
• Manage tax‑related projects and ensure tax considerations are embedded in broader initiatives.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements in tax workflows.
• Stay current with legislation and uphold the tax governance framework.

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualification or a master’s degree in Tax (essential).
• Corporate tax experience, preferably in a professional services firm or large corporation.
• Proven ability to drive positive change in tax‑related processes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including at international/head‑office level.
• Adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
