Senior Analyst - Corporate Tax

About the role

RSM Australia is looking for a Senior Analyst to join its Corporate Tax team in Sydney. You will work across a diverse client base, including large multinationals, listed companies and privately owned businesses, and take part in all aspects of corporate income tax compliance and advisory. The role suits someone who wants to develop their career in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare income tax returns for corporate entities
• Research tax issues and draft technical advice and papers
• Prepare tax effect accounting work papers
• Deliver in-house tax training sessions
• Build knowledge of key tax concepts such as assessable income, allowable deductions, capital allowances, fringe benefits tax, capital gains tax, loss provisions, transfer pricing, withholding tax and tax effect accounting
• Develop knowledge in advanced areas such as tax consolidation, tax structuring, due diligence and foreign income

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Commerce or Finance with an Accounting major
• 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
• Desirable: double degree in Business/Commerce/Finance/Law with an Accounting major, and commencement or near completion of CA or equivalent
