Senior Advisor, People Partnering

About the role

Qantas is seeking an experienced HR professional to join its People Consulting Team as a Senior Advisor, People Partnering. This part‑time, 2‑days‑per‑week, 12‑month fixed‑term role is based at the Mascot Head Office and focuses on delivering strategic people initiatives that enhance culture, capability and business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic people programs in partnership with HR Business Partners and Centres of Excellence.
• Support organisational design, restructures, people transitions and change initiatives across multiple business units.
• Provide operational HR support during peak periods, including recruitment, induction and cyclical people activities.
• Analyse workforce challenges and people data to generate insights and business solutions.
• Contribute to culture, engagement, talent and capability initiatives that improve organisational performance.
• Build trusted relationships with leaders and stakeholders, offering practical HR advice and solutions.
• Collaborate across the People community to drive best‑practice outcomes and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Human Resources or People Advisory role.
• Knowledge of contemporary HR practices and the full employment lifecycle.
• Strong relationship‑building, problem‑solving, analytical and decision‑making abilities.
• Experience supporting organisational change and business initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
