Senior Accountant

About the role

KonceptM is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead end‑to‑end accounting and tax compliance for a diverse client portfolio. This full‑time, on‑site position in Sydney involves delivering high‑quality financial statements, tax returns and strategic advice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and other statutory reports.
• Provide tax advice and support clients with structuring decisions, mergers, acquisitions and investment strategies.
• Oversee general ledger reconciliations, maintain accurate financial records and monitor cash flow and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with partners on advisory projects.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting background with experience in public practice.
• Demonstrated tax expertise across individual, business, trust and corporate entities.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance; CA/CPA designation preferred.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
