Senior Accountant

About the role

Atturra is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to partner with the Finance Business Partner and deliver accurate, timely financial information for its Business Units. The role supports month‑end close, budgeting, forecasting, compliance reporting and provides analysis that drives management insight and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month‑end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations and accounting records.
• Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, balance‑sheet reconciliations and project transaction reviews (WIP, deferred revenue).
• Assist in monthly forecast updates, variance analysis and budget preparation.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting and compile the Executive General Manager reporting pack.
• Partner with project managers to review bookings, movements and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies and external audit requirements.
• Contribute to system migrations, process improvements and documentation of financial procedures.

Required profile

• Permanent residency visa (or higher) for Australia.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with Australian accounting standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance partners, project managers and senior leadership.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
