Senior Accountant

About the role

As a Senior Accountant at FUJIFILM MicroChannel you will partner with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver accurate financial reporting and timely analysis that supports strategic decision‑making. You will be part of a collaborative finance team responsible for maintaining compliance, supporting core finance functions and ensuring the integrity of financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain day‑to‑day accounting transactions, journal entries and general ledger schedules.
• Prepare account reconciliations, monthly reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, reimbursements and customer payments.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, including accruals, pre‑payments, fixed assets and inter‑company transactions.
• Monitor cash balances, assist with cash‑flow reporting and forecasting.
• Prepare financial and management reports, analyse performance and support budgeting, forecasting and commission calculations.
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, tax obligations and statutory reporting requirements, and support audit activities.
• Maintain ERP system integrity and contribute to finance process improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or related discipline; CA or CPA qualification (or progress towards) highly regarded.
• At least five years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in professional services, multinational, shared services or technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, financial reporting, reconciliations and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing tax and statutory obligations such as BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax and GST/VAT.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Navision or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Business Intelligence reporting and analytical capabilities.
