Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a PE‑backed Senior Financial Accountant to join Allura Partners’ fast‑growing finance team in Sydney. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will own the full month‑end close, tax compliance and play a key part in integrating newly acquired businesses, with a clear path to a Finance Manager position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, journal entries, reconciliations and multi‑entity accounting.
• Manage tax compliance including FBT, payroll tax, BAS and income tax.
• Support acquisition accounting and integration of new businesses.
• Drive process‑improvement projects and bring new ideas to fruition.
• Prepare audit documentation and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain and enhance financial controls and reporting consistency across the group.
• Provide insightful financial reporting to support business decisions.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified with 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience.
• Background in Big 4 audit or business services.
• Strong tax knowledge (FBT, payroll tax, BAS) and financial accounting expertise.
• Experience in high‑growth or acquisition‑focused environments is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills.
