Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a diligent and organised Senior Accountant to join our fast‑growing accounting and bookkeeping practice. The role combines client onboarding, ongoing service delivery and strategic financial advice, leveraging the latest technology and automation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end onboarding for new clients, including discovery, system setup and transition.
• Analyse client financial data, business structures and reporting requirements to design tailored accounting systems.
• Coordinate with payroll, tax, bookkeeping and advisory teams to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Prepare and review monthly/quarterly management reports, reconciliations, BAS statements and financial statements.
• Provide proactive insights and recommendations to improve client processes and efficiency.
• Handle client queries and escalations professionally, maintaining strong, long‑term relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent).
• Highly attentive to detail and able to work independently as well as within a team.
• Excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Xero and MYOB.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with QuickBooks, JobAdder and Deputy (preferred).
