Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑savvy Senior Accountant to lead and maintain our financial accounting and reporting processes. The role ensures accuracy, transparency and compliance with IFRS, SFRS and local tax regulations while providing analysis that supports business decisions in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑of‑month close processes, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and complex data set reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management reports, reviewing P&L performance against budget and departmental OPEX.
• Produce annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and SFRS.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, processes and internal controls to satisfy audit and licensing requirements.
• Manage the lodgement calendar for a multi‑entity, multi‑jurisdiction group, including GST/VAT returns and withholding tax filings.
• Identify and implement automation, process transformation and accounting system improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience in Big 4 audit combined with commercial accounting, preferably in fintech or digital assets.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, SFRS and local tax compliance.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, meet tight reporting deadlines and drive efficiency.
