Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing mid‑tier firm in Adelaide. This position offers the chance to move beyond routine compliance and work directly with a diverse portfolio of clients on advisory, strategy and commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for complex structures.
• Provide tax planning, structuring and business‑strategy advice directly to clients.
• Support business transactions, succession planning and growth initiatives.
• Mentor and review junior team members, developing leadership capabilities.
• Liaise with the ATO and other stakeholders on complex tax matters.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification (or near completion).
• At least 3 years of experience in public practice.
• Strong Australian tax knowledge with commercial application.
• Proven ability to build client relationships and work independently.
• Motivated to progress into advisory and leadership roles.
