Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Senior Accountant to join our Tax and Advisory teams in Adelaide. This role offers hands‑on exposure to a diverse client base, mentorship from experienced accountants, and a clear pathway to professional qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns and financial statements for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
• Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
• Handle group structures, inter‑entity tax issues, and complex matters such as Div7A, Section 109 and UPE.
• Manage FBT, CGT, payroll tax, TPAR, STP, ASIC and corporate secretarial services.
• Apply QBCC Minimum Financial Requirements, Instant Asset Write‑Off, Backing Business Investment accelerated depreciation, company loss carry‑back rules and Personal Services Income considerations.

Required profile

• Commercially aware with the ability to explain complex tax scenarios to clients.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Commerce.
• 3+ years experience in an Australian public practice or on‑shore environment.
• Proficiency with accounting software and a genuine desire to complete CA ANZ/CPA Australia studies.
