Senior 3D Animator

About the role

Pixel Zoo is looking for a Senior 3D Animator to bring characters, creatures and objects to life. You will work in a dynamic, creative team with other artists, animators and directors to make visually stunning and emotionally compelling animated content. The studio is located in North Lakes, a northern Brisbane suburb with public transport nearby.

Key responsibilities

• Craft realistic, expressive and seamless character animations using animation principles and Maya.
• Meet project timelines and production schedules while keeping the quality and artistic vision of the work.
• Work with modellers and riggers to optimise character assets and fix technical issues.
• Collaborate with directors and fellow animators, taking part in creative discussions and applying feedback.
• Follow studio policies and guidelines.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability as a character animator in Maya.
• Experience is preferred; a strong reel showing your skills is acceptable even without experience.
• Ability to accept and act on constructive feedback.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for animation and a drive to create memorable, emotionally resonant visuals.
