Security Officer - Central QLD (Emerald, Rockhampton, Gladstone)

About the role

Wilson Security, one of Australia's largest security service providers, is expanding in Queensland and has created new security officer roles across Emerald, Rockhampton and Gladstone. Positions cover guarding, gatehouse and drug and alcohol testing, with part-time and casual opportunities, various shifts and hours, and SSIA award rates from Level 4 and above.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors and clients
• Perform gatehouse duties
• Monitor CCTV and access control systems proactively
• Carry out building patrols to report and mitigate security and safety risks
• Identify and report hazards and building faults for rectification
• Support tenants and facilities, manage contractors and deliveries through dock management
• Respond to emergencies and perform ad-hoc duties

Required profile

• Australian citizen or holds unlimited work rights
• Ability to work in a rotational roster (nights, days, weekends)
• Physical fitness to walk and stand for long periods
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate
• Crowd control endorsement highly desirable
