About the role
The Security Monitor (SM) plays a critical role in maintaining the security posture of restricted and controlled areas, ensuring the safety of personnel and infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor uncleared personnel to prevent unauthorized access or removal of sensitive materials.
- Enforce site regulations and communicate security procedures professionally.
- Operate handheld radio systems for effective communication.
- Respond to emergency events and maintain control of personnel.
- Complete incident and infraction reports accurately.
- Support other operational areas such as custodial, food services, and trades as needed.
- Promote and maintain health and safety compliance.
Required profile
- Completion of Year 12.
- Valid driver’s licence (manual transmission) and White Card (Construction Induction).
- Minimum 1 year of work experience.
- Ability to work in extreme weather and physically demanding conditions.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) and at least 18 years of age.
Required skills
- Handheld radio communications.
- Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform tickets.
