Security Architect

About the role

IBM Consulting is seeking a Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of security architecture for cloud‑based systems. You will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical data while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security architecture for multi‑cloud environments.
• Integrate security controls into applications, infrastructure, and platforms.
• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Build monitoring solutions to analyze security logs and respond to incidents.
• Evaluate new security technologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Participate in security audits and provide compliance evidence.
• Stay current with emerging threats and adapt security strategies.

Required profile

• Baseline security clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in security architecture, focusing on cloud and application security.
• Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud security controls.
• Strong understanding of secure coding, vulnerability management, and threat modeling.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, CIS frameworks, CSPM, and DevSecOps.
• Relevant certifications (CCSP, CISSP, CASE) are a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
