Secondary Teacher Positions – Start Jan 2027

About the role

Marist College, Emerald is seeking qualified secondary teachers to join its staff from January 2027. Positions are available on a full‑time or part‑time continuing basis across a range of subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess curriculum for assigned subject(s) in years 7‑12.
• Foster a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
• Participate in professional development and school events.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification and Queensland College of Teachers registration.
• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
• Enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to the Catholic education ethos.
• Willingness to serve the communities within the Diocese of Rockhampton.

Required skills

• Subject‑specific knowledge in at least one of the following: Modern History, Japanese, Music, HASS, Study of Religion, Religious Education, Mathematics, Science, HPE, ITD (Industrial Technology or Food Technology).
