Secondary Protection and Control Engineer

About the role

Consolidated Power Projects (CPP), part of Quanta Services, is looking for an experienced Secondary Engineer to join its growing Victorian engineering team. Secondary engineers deliver timely and accurate technical designs for secondary protection and control (PAC) systems in the high-voltage utility and renewable sectors, supporting field staff, customers and colleagues.

The successful candidate will deliver complex internal and external secondary system design projects and show the ability to check secondary system design outputs. The role sits within an in-house Design and Engineering team of over 180 professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate precision designs for secondary protection and control (PAC) systems
• Deliver complex internal and external secondary system design projects
• Check secondary system design outputs
• Support field staff, customers and colleagues

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience leading complex secondary systems design projects
• Experience in a similar role within energy/electrical utilities or renewable industries
• High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills
