Secondary PDHPE Teacher (6-Month Fixed Term)

About the role

Inspired Education is recruiting a Secondary Teacher for Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) at Reddam House, a school based on its Woollahra and Bondi campuses. The teacher delivers engaging, NESA-aligned lessons for Years 7 to 12 and supports students' physical, academic and personal development. The role is a fixed-term contract of 6 months starting Term 1, 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Secondary PDHPE and Stage 6 Human Movement Science according to NESA curriculum requirements.
• Coach after school and on Saturdays: Touch Football in Term 1, then soccer or netball in Term 2.
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that combine theory and practical work, and use formative and summative assessments to track progress.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment during practical lessons and give timely feedback to students, parents and school leaders.
• Help organise PDHPE-related events such as carnivals, excursions, camps and sports competitions, and support the co-curricular and House systems.
• Take part in staff meetings, professional learning days and school events, and collaborate with faculty members.
• Follow school policies, especially those on safeguarding, wellbeing and behaviour management, and take part in playground supervision and pick-up/drop-off duties.

Required profile

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Education with a PDHPE major or equivalent, accredited by NESA.
• Current and valid Working with Children Check and a valid NSW driver's licence.
• Proven experience teaching PDHPE and/or Human Movement Science, with knowledge of the NESA curriculum and assessment.
• Ability to deliver practical and theory-based lessons, manage behaviour and integrate educational technology.
• Willingness to attend school events outside regular hours and to commit to ongoing professional development.
