Secondary Mathematics/Science Teacher – French Bilingual Program

About the role

Whites Hill State College is seeking a qualified secondary teacher to deliver Mathematics and/or Science instruction within its French Bilingual Program for Years 7‑12. The position is flexible in start date and runs for a fixed term, with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet both the French and Australian curricula.
• Support students in developing strong subject knowledge while improving academic French proficiency.
• Collaborate with bilingual and mainstream staff to ensure curriculum alignment across both education systems.
• Contribute to the growth and continuous improvement of the bilingual program.

Required profile

• Qualified secondary Mathematics and/or Science teacher with recognised accreditation (e.g., professeur de lycée titulaire) or equivalent.
• Eligibility for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
• Native‑level or C1‑level French proficiency.
• Australian working rights or a valid visa.

Required skills

• Ability to teach content in both French and English.
• Strong knowledge of the French and Australian secondary curricula for Mathematics and Science.
