About the role

The Secondary English Teacher at Reddam House Sydney will inspire a love of literature and language for Years 10‑12, delivering engaging, student‑centred lessons and supporting academic and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality English lessons that foster critical and creative thinking.
• Differentiate teaching programs to meet diverse student needs and interests.
• Integrate technology to enhance learning and engagement.
• Design, implement and evaluate assessment tasks, providing timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with students, families and colleagues to achieve excellent learning outcomes.
• Contribute to curriculum development and stay updated with NESA and curriculum changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching English with strong student outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of English language, literature and contemporary pedagogy.
• Ability to design differentiated learning programs and use assessment data to inform practice.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with students, parents and staff.
• Experience contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning.
