Secondary Business & Economics Teacher

About the role

Reddam House North Shore, part of the Inspired Education Group, is preparing to grow its student body from 850 to 1,100 by 2027 and is creating a limited number of new positions. The Business & Economics teacher guides students from Year 7 to Year 12, delivering high-quality instruction in one or more subjects aligned with the NESA curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the school's curriculum, policies and external assessment requirements.
• Teach economics and business studies, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, economic systems, market structures, government policy, inflation, unemployment and international trade.
• Teach business subjects such as business management, marketing, finance, accounting, human resource management and entrepreneurship.
• Assess students regularly and give targeted feedback to drive progress.
• Build a positive, supportive classroom environment and contribute to co-curricular programmes, clubs and whole-school initiatives.
• Maintain open communication with parents and collaborate with colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent teaching qualification, accredited with NESA.
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• Proven secondary-level teaching experience with a grasp of NESA curriculum requirements.
• Experience planning and supervising school events and activities.
• Willingness to help with lunch and playground supervision, drop-off and pick-up, and to attend school events outside regular hours.

Required skills

• Skilled in one or more Key Learning Areas and able to engage diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management and proficiency in student assessment and progress reporting.
• Comfortable using educational technologies and creative teaching strategies.
