About the role

Join John Tonkin College as a Science Teacher delivering engaging marine and environmental science programmes. This permanent full‑time position starts in Term 1, 2027 and offers the chance to inspire students through real‑world fieldwork and sustainability projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum in marine and environmental sciences for senior secondary students.
• Facilitate outdoor learning, field investigations and partnerships with local environmental organisations.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and support ATAR preparation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with registration to teach in Western Australia.
• Early‑career teachers are encouraged to apply; ATAR experience is desirable.
• Strong interest in outdoor learning, fieldwork and environmental sustainability.
