School Officer

About the role

The School Officer provides essential front‑of‑house and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of Wellard Village Primary School. This role involves greeting visitors, handling phone enquiries, and delivering timely clerical services to staff, students and families.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, answer telephone calls and respond to routine enquiries.
• Prepare and distribute correspondence, newsletters, notices and other school communications.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, collect and receipt monies, and operate office equipment.
• Enter data, generate reports and maintain accurate attendance and enrolment records.
• Arrange catering for school functions and organise travel for staff.
• Assist with facility maintenance tasks and support student‑related activities.
• Support the Manager of Corporate Services with induction, training, recruitment and staff record‑keeping.
