School Officer – Administrative Support

About the role

The School Officer provides essential administrative support in a dynamic secondary college environment. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and will handle a variety of enquiries from students, parents, staff and the wider community.

Key responsibilities

• Manage reception and front‑office duties, greeting visitors and answering phones.
• Assist with student enrolments, attendance records and facility maintenance.
• Support financial operations, relief staff scheduling and student engagement programmes.
• Operate and maintain the Student Information System and other software tools.
• Adapt to changing needs across multiple college locations.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for service delivery.
• Flexibility to work across various teams and locations.
• Relevant administrative experience in an educational setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Student Information System (SIS) platforms.
• Experience using Compass software.
• Competence in Canva, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Sway.
