School Leadership Consultant

About the role

The School Leadership Consultant will join the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited (DOSCEL) to support principals and school leaders across 44 Catholic schools in the Diocese. Based in historic Sion House in Warragul, the role focuses on building leadership capability to drive educational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist principals and school leaders in implementing Diocese priorities, policies and strategies.
• Support the creation of re‑contextualised, dialogical Catholic schools.
• Deliver the Leadership Formation Strategy to build leadership capacity.
• Implement the School Improvement Framework to guide strategic school improvement.
• Provide strategic advice and coaching to school leaders, including travel to schools as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or working towards) with at least five years of leadership experience in Catholic schools.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education or to lead in a Catholic school.
• Deep commitment to the mission of Catholic education in Australia.
• Understanding of child protection and child safety issues in schools.
• Victorian driver’s licence for travel between schools.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Catholic education policies and frameworks.
• Ability to deliver professional development and leadership coaching.
• Strategic planning and school improvement expertise.
