School Cleaner – Part‑time / Full‑time

About the role

Piara Waters Primary School is looking for reliable cleaners to join a pool of staff for permanent and fixed‑term positions. The role involves a 5‑hour workday, Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, supporting a safe and tidy learning environment for Kindergarten to Year 6 students.

Key responsibilities

• Clean toilets, indoor and outdoor furniture, fittings and verandahs.
• Wash windows, high‑use doors, and outdoor spaces.
• Dust surfaces, collect and remove rubbish, and maintain drinking troughs.
• Maintain staff rooms and respond to student accidents.
• Perform ad‑hoc cleaning tasks as required to keep the school environment safe and presentable.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Organised, reliable and responsive to urgent cleaning requests.
• Eligibility to obtain a Working With Children Check and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or a valid visa with work rights.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning equipment.
• Understanding of safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.
