School-Based Traineeship - Irrigation, Taren Point

About the role

The Reece Group, which supplies plumbing and bathroom products to plumbers and retail customers and also runs specialty businesses including Irrigation, is offering a school-based traineeship at its Irrigation Taren Point branch. Partnered with Murray Mallee Training Company Ltd, it is recruiting Year 10 students who will work towards a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations. The traineeship combines work at the branch with certificate requirements such as workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Reece's values, policies and procedures
• Provide customer service and communicate with customers and staff
• Complete all requirements of the certificate, including workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments
• Process sales and manage stock
• Answer the phone to take messages and orders
• Build product knowledge and follow up with customers
• Contribute to keeping the branch at a high standard

Required profile

• Year 10 student
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to follow instructions
• Enthusiasm, a great attitude and willingness to try new things
• Team player
• Willingness to keep a neat and tidy workplace and to be well presented
• Saturday availability; about 1.5 days per week, with extra hours during school holidays recommended
