School-Based Traineeship - Irrigation & Pools, Orange

About the role

The Reece Group, which supplies plumbing and bathroom products to plumbers and retail customers, is offering a school-based traineeship in partnership with Murray Mallee Training Company Ltd. Year 10 students can work towards a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations while working in a Reece branch. The position is based at the Irrigation & Pools Orange branch and involves both work in the store and completing certificate requirements such as workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Reece's values, policies and procedures
• Provide customer service
• Complete all requirements of the certificate
• Process sales
• Manage stock
• Answer the phone to take messages and orders
• Communicate with customers and staff
• Build product knowledge
• Follow up with customers
• Help keep the branch at a high standard

Required profile

• Year 10 student
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to follow instructions
• Enthusiasm, a great attitude and willingness to try new things
• Team player
• Willingness to keep a neat and tidy workplace
• Well presented
• Saturday availability; about 1.5 days per week, with extra hours during school holidays recommended
