School-based Traineeship - Certificate II Supply Chain Operations

About the role

The Reece Group, which supplies plumbing and bathroom products to plumbers and retailers and also runs specialty businesses such as Irrigation, HVAC-R, Bathroom Life, Onsite and Civil, is offering a school-based traineeship at its Civil Kings Meadows branch. Partnered with Murray Mallee Training Company Ltd, students work towards a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations while completing certificate requirements such as workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments. Year 10 students can apply all year round; Year 11 students can apply from January until the end of term 2.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Reece's values, policies and procedures
• Provide customer service and communicate with customers and staff
• Complete all requirements of the certificate, including workbooks and assessments
• Process sales and manage stock
• Answer the phone to take messages and orders
• Build product knowledge and follow up with customers
• Help keep the branch at a high standard

Required profile

• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to follow instructions
• Enthusiasm, a great attitude and willingness to try new things
• Team player who keeps a neat and tidy workplace and presents themselves well
• Availability on Saturdays; additional hours during school holidays are available and recommended
• Equivalent of 1.5 days per week of work
