Scheduler - Project Controls

About the role

Liberty Industrial, which delivers complex demolition, decommissioning and remediation projects across Australia and internationally, is looking for a Scheduler to join its Project Controls function in Perth. You will support project teams across the Western Australian operations, working closely with Project Managers, Planners, Engineers and site teams to maintain accurate schedules and provide timely progress information.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update project schedules using Primavera P6, keeping schedule logic, activity relationships, milestones and project status accurate.
• Collect, validate and incorporate progress information from project teams into schedules.
• Prepare short-term and lookahead schedules and monitor progress against them, identifying delays and emerging issues.
• Produce regular schedule status updates, progress reports and supporting project controls information.
• Work with Supervisors, Engineers, Planners and Project Managers so schedule information reflects site progress.
• Support the Planner with forecasting and schedule analysis, and assist with resource loading, productivity tracking and progress measurement where required.
• Take part in project meetings and share schedule updates with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Scheduler, Planning Engineer or in a similar project-based role.
• Experience producing lookahead schedules, progress reports and schedule status updates.
• Experience in construction, civil, mining, oil & gas, shutdown, demolition or decommissioning projects is highly regarded.
• Open Work Visa holders with at least 18 months validity, Australian citizens or permanent residents.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Primavera P6, including schedule updates, logic relationships and reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence with project data.
• Advantageous: resource loading, productivity reporting, Power BI or other visual reporting tools.
