Sales Travel Consultant - Byron Bay

About the role

Flight Centre is hiring a Sales Travel Consultant to work full-time, on-site in one of its retail stores in Byron Bay, NSW, on a rotating roster across a 7-day trade. You will plan itineraries, book travel and turn enquiries into bookings for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan itineraries, book travel and convert enquiries into bookings in person, by phone and by email
• Sell the whole holiday, including flights, accommodation, car hire, tours, travel insurance, cruises and transfers, working towards individual KPIs and sales targets
• Build a customer base of new and returning customers from domestic to international holidays
• Advise customers on travel-related questions such as visas, best time to travel, packing and local food

Required profile

• Seasoned traveller with a history of international destinations
• Great organisational skills, able to manage a calendar and respond quickly to calls and emails
• Determination to meet sales targets and KPIs in a busy, high-pressure environment
• Customer-focused enthusiasm and warmth

Required skills

• Savviness with computers, able to switch between complex booking systems
• Ability to find the right flights and package options for customers
