Sales Travel Consultant - Burwood, NSW

About the role

Flight Centre is hiring a Sales Travel Consultant to work full-time, on-site in one of its retail stores in Burwood, NSW, on a rotating roster across a 7-day trade. You will plan itineraries, book travel and turn enquiries into bookings for customers, selling the whole holiday including flights, accommodation, car hire, tours, travel insurance, cruises and transfers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan itineraries and book travel for customers in person, by phone and by email
• Convert enquiries into bookings and work towards individual KPIs and sales targets
• Build a customer base of new and returning customers, from regular domestic bookings to international holidays
• Advise customers on travel-related questions such as visas, best time of year to travel, packing and where to eat

Required profile

• Seasoned traveller with a history of international destinations
• Great organisational skills, able to manage a calendar and respond quickly to calls and emails
• Determination to meet sales targets and KPIs in a busy, high-pressure environment
• Enthusiasm and warmth that makes customers want to book again

Required skills

• Savviness with computers, able to switch between complex booking systems
• Ability to find the right flight and package options for customers
