Sales Representative - Transport & Logistics

About the role

A client of Industrial Recruitment Partners is looking for an experienced Sales Representative to grow its business and expand its customer base across Western Australia. The role suits someone with a background in the transport and logistics industry, an understanding of freight operations and an established network of industry contacts. The position is based at the Midland office, with about 2-3 days per week in the office and the rest of the time spent visiting customers and travelling regionally.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across WA, particularly Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Albany and the South West.
• Secure full trailer loads, including semi-trailer and road train freight.
• Identify and approach potential customers in the transport, mining and logistics sectors.
• Arrange and attend customer meetings and site visits.
• Generate new leads by phone, networking and face-to-face sales.
• Maintain existing customer relationships and find opportunities for growth.

Required profile

• Previous sales or business development experience in the transport and logistics industry.
• Good understanding of freight operations and the WA transport market.
• Established industry contacts and customer relationships.
• Proven ability to generate new business and secure profitable freight opportunities.
• Willingness to travel throughout WA.

• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.

What we offer

• Pay of $85,000-$100,000 plus commission and car allowance.
