Sales Representative – Construction Equipment

About the role

Join Hitachi Construction Machinery’s Launceston branch as a Sales Representative focused on promoting our construction and mining equipment range across Northern Tasmania. You will build and nurture customer relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with an existing network of customers within the territory.
• Generate new sales opportunities through daily cold‑calling and prospecting.
• Participate in marketing activities, trade shows and networking events.
• Provide accurate reporting on activity, market trends, competitor analysis and growth potential.
• Meet market‑share targets and other KPIs set by management.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience in the construction, earthmoving or similar equipment industry.
• Strong desire to deliver total customer satisfaction and maintain positive client relationships.
• Motivated, competitive drive to exceed sales targets.
• Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to assess value.
• Confident, courteous communication and negotiation skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
