Sales & Hire Coordinator

About the role

Komatsu Forklift Australia promotes, sells, hires and services Komatsu forklifts and related products. It is looking for a motivated and organised Sales & Hire Coordinator to join its team in Sumner, Queensland, acting as the key link between customers and operations by managing equipment hire, coordinating deliveries and supporting sales. The roster is Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls, emails and walk-ins from customers who want to rent or buy equipment or services.
• Process hire contracts or sales orders and issue invoices.
• Coordinate delivery, pickup and return of hire equipment, often with drivers and warehouse teams.
• Check equipment availability and make sure items are clean, tested and maintained.
• Assist the sales team with pricing, stock details and client follow-ups.
• Maintain hire and sales records, contracts, reports and customer databases (e.g. in CRM systems).
• Resolve issues or delays and give ongoing support through the hire or sales process.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication and organisation, with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
• Basic understanding of sales and negotiation.
• Knowledge of equipment or the industry (e.g. construction, events).

Required skills

• Competence with systems such as CRM or hire management software.
