Sales Assistant – Industrial Supplies, Geraldton

About the role

A busy industrial operation in Geraldton, Western Australia is looking for a Sales Assistant through Zoom Recruitment. This casual position runs approximately 38 hours per week and combines customer service, sales, warehousing and yard duties. Full training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store, by phone and by email
• Provide product advice and process sales
• Receive, dispatch and manage stock
• Maintain product displays and support promotions
• Safely handle gas cylinders and help with general yard duties
• Operate a forklift if licensed
• Keep the store, warehouse and yard clean and safe

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, positive and team-focused approach
• Good attention to detail and time management
• Ability to do regular manual handling and work outdoors
• Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
• Two recent, satisfactory references
• Experience in retail, trade sales, industrial supplies or warehousing is beneficial; full training is provided

Required skills

• Basic computer skills; SAP experience is an advantage
• Forklift licence preferred, or willingness to obtain one
