Safety & Training Coordinator

About the role

Westfill Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Safety & Training Coordinator to lead hands‑on training and competency assessment programmes for its underground mining operations. You will play a pivotal role in building a skilled, safety‑focused workforce that meets productivity targets.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver practical training and conduct competency assessments for production, processing and site personnel.
• Maintain and analyse training records and Training Needs Analysis (TNA) data to identify skill gaps.
• Ensure training delivery complies with site inductions, Safe Work Procedures, JHAs and Workplace Injury Prevention requirements.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to employees and report outcomes to supervisors and project managers.
• Keep training documentation, competency matrices and trainee time allocations up‑to‑date for accurate reporting and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in underground mining, including operator competencies.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE401116 or TAE40122).
• Current First Aid & CPR certification, Dangerous Goods Security card, and Working at Heights certification.
• Valid manual driver’s licence and ability to pass pre‑employment medical and police clearance.
