Rostering Assistant – Scheduling Support for NDIS Services

About the role

As a Rostering Assistant at Blue Marble Health Services, you will coordinate and manage staff rosters for Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes and community‑based supports, ensuring participants receive the right care at the right time. The role involves matching staff availability and skills to participant needs while complying with the SCHADS Award, and includes rotating on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain staff rosters across SIL homes and community supports.
• Allocate shifts based on participant requirements, staff availability, and skill sets.
• Respond quickly to last‑minute changes, cancellations, and staff shortages.
• Ensure full compliance with SCHADS Award conditions, including hours, breaks, penalties and overtime.
• Liaise with support workers and internal teams to communicate roster updates.
• Maintain accurate, audit‑ready roster records.
• Support onboarding of new staff onto active rosters.
• Provide on‑call and after‑hours rostering assistance as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of rostering experience, preferably within NDIS, SIL or healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of SCHADS Award requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Australian citizenship or full working rights and willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Screening and National Police checks.
