Room Attendant

About the role

As a Room Attendant at Mantra Esplanade Cairns, you will be a key member of the Housekeeping team, ensuring every guest room is spotless and welcoming. Your work supports both leisure and corporate visitors, helping them enjoy a memorable tropical stay.

Key responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including changing linens, sanitising bathrooms and wiping surfaces.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards in line with hotel guidelines.
• Restock and organise housekeeping trolleys with necessary supplies.
• Handle cleaning equipment safely and follow all safety protocols.
• Respect guest privacy and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping is a plus.
• Warm, welcoming communication style that makes guests and teammates feel at home.
• Strong attention to detail and efficient time‑management.
• Physical stamina to move between rooms, using stairs and pathways.
• Reliable transport and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Ability to use standard cleaning materials and equipment safely.
