Room Attendant

About the role

As a Room Attendant you will be a key member of the Housekeeping team at Mantra Southbank Melbourne, ensuring guest rooms are spotless and welcoming. You will work closely with colleagues and assist guests to create memorable stays.

Key responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including changing linens, cleaning bathrooms and wiping down surfaces.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards in line with hotel guidelines.
• Restock and organise housekeeping trolleys with necessary supplies.
• Handle cleaning materials safely and follow all safety protocols.
• Respect guest privacy and security at all times.
• Promptly report any maintenance issues to ensure a flawless guest experience.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a cleaner or room attendant is a plus.
• Warm, welcoming communication style that makes guests and teammates feel at home.
• Strong eye for detail and efficient time‑management skills.
• Physical stamina to move between rooms, using stairs and open pathways.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
