Retail Trainer

About the role

We are seeking a Retail Trainer to join the Total Tools team, delivering engaging training, coaching and on‑the‑floor support to store teams across South Australia and Western Australia. The role involves a mix of face‑to‑face workshops, virtual sessions and in‑store coaching to boost customer experience, product knowledge and sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging face‑to‑face and virtual training across our store network in SA and WA.
• Coach team members on the shop floor to improve customer service, sales skills and product confidence.
• Create practical, engaging training programs and learning resources.
• Partner with store leaders to identify capability gaps and drive development initiatives.
• Support new team member onboarding and ongoing skills development.
• Build strong relationships across the store network and provide continuous coaching and support.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering engaging retail training programs.
• Strong coaching and facilitation skills that drive behaviour change.
• Passion for developing people and building high‑performing teams.
• Ability to influence, engage and inspire a wide range of audiences.
• Understanding of retail, customer service and sales principles.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable travelling across SA and WA.

Required skills

• Experience designing and delivering retail training workshops.
• Facilitation and coaching techniques that encourage behavioural change.
