Retail Store Designer

About the role

Brandbank Group is looking for a creative Retail Store Designer to join its Store Design team on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. Working from the St Kilda Road office, you will translate brand concepts into functional, on‑brand retail environments across five brands.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and convert store concepts into detailed technical designs.
• Create floorplans, elevations and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit and other design tools.
• Collaborate with Visual Merchandising, Project Managers and external contractors to deliver seamless retail experiences.
• Support joinery and fixture design, select materials and finishes for all store projects.
• Contribute to design approvals, documentation and quality‑assurance processes.
• Stay current with retail trends to ensure stores remain engaging and functional.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in retail design or related store design projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
• Strong technical drawing skills and understanding of spatial design and retail layouts.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of construction processes, joinery and material selection is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
