Retail Sales Travel Consultant - Toowoomba

About the role

Flight Centre is hiring a full-time, on-site Retail Sales Travel Consultant in Toowoomba, QLD. You will work in a retail store on a rotating roster across a 7-day trade, helping customers plan and book their holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Plan itineraries, book travel and turn enquiries into bookings in person, by phone and by email
• Sell the whole holiday, including flights, accommodation, car hire, tours, travel insurance, cruises and transfers
• Meet individual KPIs and sales targets
• Build a customer base of new and returning customers
• Advise customers on travel-related questions such as visas, best time to travel, packing and local food

Required profile

• Seasoned traveller with a history of international destinations
• Great organisational skills, able to manage a calendar and respond quickly to calls and emails
• Determination to meet sales targets in a busy, high-pressure environment
• Customer-focused enthusiasm and warmth

Required skills

• Comfortable using computers and switching between complex booking systems
• Ability to find the right flights and package options for customers

• Wage boosted to $65K equivalent for the first 90 days; average first-year earnings of $70K, with senior consultants averaging $100K and team leaders $138K, including superannuation and penalty rates
