Retail Design Specialist

About the role

Endeavour Group, which owns brands such as Dan Murphy's, BWS, ALH Hotels and Pinnacle Drinks, is looking for an experienced design professional to join its Retail Design Specialist role based in Sydney with hybrid working. The specialist drives innovation, efficiency and customer engagement in retail design, developing practical concepts and coordinating small-to-medium, fast-paced projects, including the continuous improvement of the Endeavour Toolkits.

Key responsibilities

• Translate brand strategy and customer insights into 3D retail environments, store concepts and experiential fixtures
• Lead the development, optimisation and governance of Standard Retail Design Toolkits (guidelines, fixture libraries, material boards, architectural details)
• Design spatial flow, visual merchandising integration and physical touchpoints that improve foot traffic, dwell time and basket size
• Own design deliverables across multiple concurrent format initiatives and store fit-outs, from concept to construction administration
• Manage design programmes, external consultant fees and prototype budgets
• Value-engineer concepts, materials, lighting, finishes and fixtures
• Produce technical specifications, material palettes and fixture detail drawings for national rollouts
• Produce and review 3D visualisations, rendered concepts, schematic layouts and CAD draw packs
• Manage relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, fabricators and suppliers, issue technical briefs, run design reviews and oversee supplier fabrication

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in retail design, industrial design (fixtures), architecture or interiors
• Tertiary qualification in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Retail Design or a related field
• Excellent stakeholder and relationship management, strong design and project management skills
• Strong 2D and 3D visualisation skills

Required skills

• High proficiency in Twinmotion or Enscape, SketchUp, 3ds Max or similar
• High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
