Restructuring Manager / Senior Manager

About the role

As a Restructuring Manager or Senior Manager you will join McGrathNicol’s Restructuring team to help clients restore stability and maximise value during financial distress. You will work closely with boards, senior management and financiers to diagnose root causes, design turnaround strategies and deliver restructuring solutions across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead significant components of restructuring and advisory engagements, overseeing day‑to‑day project delivery, resourcing and financial management.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities, applying market and industry knowledge to develop commercial solutions.
• Ensure quality control of analyses, deliverables and outputs to meet firm standards.
• Perform complex financial and commercial analysis, including cash‑flow modelling, scenario analysis, valuations and decision support.
• Design, build and review financial models, management reporting and information protocols.
• Deliver responsive client service and nurture long‑term relationships.
• Coach, mentor and develop junior team members, providing feedback and delegating challenging work.

Required profile

• Demonstrated technical knowledge of restructuring, turnaround and insolvency processes.
• Proven experience leading and developing junior staff while managing workflow and deliverables.
• Prior experience in a professional services environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
• University degree in Business, Commerce or related discipline; CA ANZ membership highly regarded.
