Resident Engineer

About the role

The Resident Engineer will work onsite at an HPE partner or customer office, providing expert network design, implementation and support for HPE Juniper equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide best‑practice advice, design development, and create high‑level and low‑level network documentation, test plans and functionality guides.
• Deliver technical knowledge transfers on Juniper equipment, configurations, new products and design guidelines.
• Participate in testing and validation workshops, conduct lab testing of new features, build automated topologies and verify implementations in live networks.
• Assist customers in evolving network operating procedures and deliver weekly progress reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 4‑6 years of experience providing implementation and technical support in large organisations with multi‑vendor networking environments.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, able to work with HPE and customer teams.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Juniper equipment and configuration.
• Network testing, installation and operation of wired and wireless networks and security products.
• Use of network management tools and analyzers.
• Relevant certifications such as JNCIS‑MISTAI, JNCIP‑SP, CCNP, CCIE (highly desirable).
